Protection & Advocacy for Individuals in Need of Assistive Technology (PAAT)

Assistive technology can make a world of difference to people living with disabilities. The Protection and Advocacy for Individuals in Need of Assistive Technology (PAAT) program helps individuals with disabilities and their family members gain access to equipment and services that improve their lives.

PAAT serves people with disabilities who are eligible for funding of assistive technology devices and services through the Rehabilitation Act, Medicaid, Medicare, Special Education, or private insurers.

Through the PAAT program, HDRC can assist you with:

  • Information and referrals.
  • Advocacy, including informal, administrative, and legal remedies to obtain assistive technology for people with disabilities

To determine your eligibility for PATT or for more information or referrals to programs and services, call us at (808) 949-2922 or email an advocate at [email protected].
