Protection & Advocacy for Voter Access (PAVA)

Our democracy was created by the people and for the people, including those with disabilities. The Protection and Advocacy for Voter Access (PAVA) program ensures that individuals with disabilities can fully participate in the electoral process.

HDRC routinely helps qualified individuals with disabilities register to vote. We conduct group presentations on the importance of voting and assist people with completing their voter registration forms.

Before and on Election Day, we also visit polling sites to check accessibility. Let us know if you’re aware of a non-accessible polling place in your community, and we will monitor it.

To determine your eligibility for PAVA or for more information, call us at (808) 949-2922 or email an advocate at [email protected].
